VAMPIRE MAGAZINE REVIEW OF DESERT MONKEY'S 'WATER DAMAGE'.

'The English gentlemen of Desert Monkey delivers with this "Water Damage" a nice rocking stoner mini CD. That is basically the conclusion and is underlined by the simple fact that the recorded material isn't very innovating or thrilling, but 'just' good rocking like a good rocking album should sound. The typical vocals of their vocalist (who have a strange tendency to sing while kneeling on the ground, judging the pictures in the booklet and on the bands' website) gives the band a pretty original sound, that is pretty much unlike any other band in the genre, which is definitely a plus. If there is some comparison to be made I would mention the English Missed-Her-Bliss (is this band still going?), Sparzanza (weren't they Swedish?) and the Norwegian Hondo - to keep it simple, this is such a typical Water Dragon Records band. I must say that I lost track on this label some years ago but if they are still releasing albums than this is a band to keep an eye on…'
