'DESERT MONKEY - "Water Damage." "Known to be Cynics" opens with plenty of rock 'n' roll gusto - and hits the spot nicely. "Two" is more complex, with a groove and a nod towards Rollins Band territory - although firm and melodic rather than angry. Title track "Water Damage" is an uncompromising rocker of a track, with hints of G 'n' R, and "Run Along" gets deep and rootsy at times. Final track "Volume Phrasing" is intense and urgent, with a strong groove and great lead guitar...it's all here.'
